Why on Earth would we do that? None of the event guides have ever been closed. Once events are over they are normally moved to a private forum for storage and later added to the front end of the site.

Can you buy a festival hat you don't have from someone else (though it's customized for them) and show it to the festival hat NCP to unlock that hat for yourself?

Tobias, you cannot do that, I'm afraid. If you were not available for the hats on Jan 1st - 12:01 a.m. on the 2nd, then you cannot get the hats.

If you get a hat from another player, then it won't work.

I have the order in which baddies appear in both "you're a mean on , Mr. Grenth" and "In Grenths defense". "In Grenth's defense" is easier so I will list that one first.
"In Grenth's Defense"
There are 25 Snowmen (including Freeze) in the basic quest. I will list them in sets of five even though there is now wave resemblance.
1-5 Snowman, Roguish, Snowman, Bustling, Snowman
6-10 Bustling, Snowman, Grumpy, Snowman, Grumpy
11-15 Snowman, Glimmering, Snowman, Blessed, Snowman
16-20 Impeccable, Snowman, Chilled, Snowman, Industrious
21-25 Snowman, Mischevious, Rotund, Pious, and finally Freeze
BONUS: You must defeat six waves of six snowmen each, while they spawn more and more frequently. The progression of snowmen goes as follows:
Wave1:Snowman, Snowman, Snowman, Mischevious, Roguish, Bustling
Wave2:Grumpy, Grumpy, Grumpy, Chilled, Pious, Playfull
Wave3:Roguish, Industrial, roguish, Impeccable, Glimmering, Blessed
Wave4:Industrious, Playfull, Playfull, Cordial, Chilled, Rotund
Wave5:Industrious, Playfull, Playfull, Cordial, Chilled, Pious
Wave6:Industrious, Playfull, Playfull, Cordial, Chilled, Rotund

"You're a mean one, Mr. Grenth"
First Present: Guarded by two grentchies; Speedy, Grentch
Second Present: Guarded by just one Shifty Grentch
Between 2&3: There is a roaming Grentch that goes back and forth under the bridge, there is another Grentch at the top of the bridge, and there is a Tricky at the other side of the bridge.
Third Present: Guarded by four; Grentch, Hasty, Icy, Sneaky.
NOTE: you can take out most of the baddies for the third present from the second... The grentch to the left is easy, the Icy and Sneaky you will have to "attack" (Even though you can't hit them) from the wall then back up untill they are on the edge of the wall. Snowfort yourslef and take them out.
Roamers: There are three roamers; Tricky, Hungry, Dodgy in that order. Be carefull, they have a tendancy to sneak up on you while you are dealing with the Tricky on the other side of the bridge.
Between 3&4/5: There are 3; 2 Sacrificial, and one Grandious in the open area after present 3.
Present four: Guarded by Three; Hungry, Sacraficial, and Troublesome.
On the hill before Present five: There are three; Veracious, Icy, and Flashy.
Present Five: Guarded by Three; Icy, Tricky, and Gretchus Maximus.
BONUS: You must defeat six waves of six grentchies each, while they spawn more and more frequently. The progression of Grentchies goes as follows:
Wave1:Grentch, Grentch, Grentch, Tricky, Sneaky, Speedy

Playfull=Dodgy ~Sidestep~ (Rarely Used)
Industrial=Troublesome ~Jack Frost~ (If they get the spirit summoned use snowfort and take it out)
Cordial=Frozen ~Ice Breaker~
Rotund=Grandious ~Mega Snowball~

NOTE: AL COUNTS!! but only in the cases of the grumpy/sacrificial and the Pious/Hungry AFTER they have eaten Snowcone.
NOTE: Weapons or offhands that "Halves Casting time of spells XX%" DO WORK!!! You can actually cast 4 snowballs in the time it should take you to cast 2
